New York EMT Accused Serial Rapist
The arrest of one of New York's finest has shaken up the Big Apple! Angus Pascall, an FDNY EMT, was arrested on July 21, 2010 and charged with at least five counts of armed sexual assault, which includes sodomy. It appears that when he's on the clock he saves lives, and on his personal time he ruins them.

Brooklyn neighbors can now breathe a sigh of relief, thanks to one of the victims, an 11 year old, who provided the police with this sketch.

The 11 year old victim says after returning from walking her dog, she was approached in her Brooklyn apartment building, on the elevator, and sodomized by Angus Pascall.

There was another break in the case when another victim came forward and provided police with a license plate number of her attacker, when she was raped.

Pascall was a paramedic, working in Canarsie, which is not to far from the Brownsville section of Brooklyn where he resides. This just so happens to be the same vicinity that all of the alleged sex crimes took place.

The string of alleged crimes began:

1. In 2001, in her Flatbush home, a 22 year old woman stated that the alleged suspect, Angus Pascall, entered her home armed with a gun and raped her.

Fathers Raising Children

1123144_walk_on_pierHave you ever heard the expression "Mama's baby, poppas maybe?” I bet you have and a lot of times that is the case because, a mother cannot deny she is the mother of her child. However, a man can deny his children any day and time, until a DNA results proves him wrong.

Mothers are often forced to raise babies on their own and they hardly get the credit they deserve. Now days anyone can be a guardian to a child. Especially if one or both parents are not in the picture or can not provide financial support for the care of their children.

I remember when I was working for ACS, also known as Agency of Children Services, and came across some cases that did not have a mother in the home. As I began my research I started thinking if the mother was not deceased then why were they not in the picture? I was stunned about what I found. This particular case really touched my heart.

The Week that Was: Celtics Up 3-2, Strasburg-mania, World Cup Kicks Off

1ablog-natebigbabyx-inset-communityLast week was a huge week in sports. The Finals shifted back to Boston, where the series took another turn; the most hyped phenom in baseball made his debut a thing to remember and the biggest event of the world's most popular game kicked off in South Africa. Here's a look back at the week that was.

NBA Finals: Celtics-Lakers
As it stands now: Celtics up 3-2

Paul Pierce was heard at the end of a Celtics win in L.A. saying that the Celtics wouldn't come back there-meaning Boston would win the next three at home to take the series. Game 3 took care of that notion as the Lakers played inspired basketball, led by Derek Fisher's huge 4th quarter. Boston turned up the defensive intensity in Game 4 and got big bench games from Glen 'Big Baby' Davis and Nate Robinson to pull even. Last night, Kobe Bryant exploded for 38 points in the 2nd half, but the Celtics put the clamps on the rest of the Lakers and held on for a gritty win in Game 5. The series shifts back to L.A. and if the Lakers have any chance, they have got to get production out of their role players. There is no way, even at home, that the Lakers will win from an average of 35 points from Bryant and 10-15 points from Gasol. Artest, Odom, Fisher and Bynum must all step up. I'll go out on a limb and state that the winner of Game 6 will win the series. Not hardly a leap, but I think if the Lakers can pull it out tomorrow night, they will win Game 7 at home.
