Bike Season

811547_bikesCan you hear that? It’s the powerful roar of a 600cc, no a 950cc, or maybe its the almighty Hayabusa? It's that time of the year that all speed junkies love. Bike season!

The bitterness of winter has left and the sun is staying around a little longer. Every season more and more newcomers are joining the universal club of speed junkies. The number of motorcycle enthusiasts has steadily increased over the last thirty years. Unfortunately so has the number of motorcycle fatalities. Are they really death machines? Not at all.

Motorcycles are no more dangerous than automobiles. It's all up to the operator to keep the

highways safe. Whether you are a ten year veteran of riding or this will be your first bike season, it is extremely important to respect the power of motorcycles. Especially the racing bikes also known in the bike world as “crotch rockets.”

Running With Another Man's Number

Running_with_another_mans_number1How many times have we found ourselves borrowing something from someone.  Some of the things we borrow we don’t even need. Still there are something’s we need just for the moment. We borrow ideas, looks, even our behaviors are  borrowed.

The truth is, there really is nothing new under the sun. People are making thousands, no millions of dollars everyday by borrowing something that was here long before they were ever considered. Nothing I write here is original, nothing you read here is original, most of the time it is a perspective. Everything that is has already been and all that will be was once here before.

You see, what I have come to realize is that with all the technology  that we have today, there is still nothing that can compare to the human body. We are a complex piece of work. We are the only thing that is original, one of a kind. There never was and never will be another copy of you. Yet we spend much of our time in life trying to be like someone else. That is rather ludicrous if you think about it, here we are trying to duplicate something that was duplicated from something else duplicated, and so on. Have you ever stopped to consider, "Why you are so unique, so different, so special?"

I Heart Hip Hop

1190521_music_heartsWith all the highly publicized tragedies to Hip Hop, i.e. the murder of Jason Mizell, aka Jam Master Jay, Christopher Wallace, aka Biggie, and Tupac Shakur, outsiders may wonder why we still love Hip Hop so much.

Hip Hop repeatedly loses artists to either the graveyard or the prison yards but yet right now somewhere is the USA and the globe abroad there is an aspiring young man or woman with mic dreams. As my mix of Jay- Z plays in the background I thought of the best way to explain. When emcees with colorful names first appeared along with poppers and breakers wearing sweat suits, Hip Hop was dubbed as a “fad”. Critics didn’t give Hip Hop five years to last. Now over twenty years later Hip Hop is worldwide. So what’s the attraction?
