When she's not behind the mic, on the stage or in front of the camera ToshaMakia always finds time for community out reach. She represents for all shapes and sizes of women and one of her favorite things to do is to speak with kids in local schools and help them handle the trials andtribulations of puberty. ToshaMakia knows that,
"Our children are our most important resource and if their parents aren't around I want kids to know that I'm always there for them. It amazes me that I have parents thanking me for giving their children advice or giving them the boost they need to bring those grades up." She also volunteers in soup kitchens or spends time at local group homes. ToshaMakia also went public with a very harrowing experience. She was in an abusive relationship for over a decade and she wants to make sure that this doesn't happen to other women. She spreads her message of positive body image, respect and that, "You have to love yourself before you can love anyone else. I'm so happy that my job allows me to do that." You can check ToshaMakia out on Sirius 39 XM 65 Radio Tues., Thurs., Sat. at 6 PM with Monie Love, Summer and DJ Jay Ski on "Ladle's First". ToshaMakia's love for music is her passion and her motto is "No matter what people are going through music is your medicine."
